We’re getting married! Or we already are, and are finally celebrating it in proper fashion? Either way, we’re excited to celebrate this moment with you :)

That’s assuming you can make it – which we hope you can! Now would be a good time to mention that you should RSVP :)

Below you’ll find the full weekend schedule, dress recs, and some suggestions for places to stay. This will be a three-day Bengali wedding – if you can’t be here for the whole thing, we recommend the last two days as the ones to prioritize. In the schedule section below you can find a brief description of each day :)

Heck, let’s just keep this tutuorial-vibe going: depending on which days you plan on attending, we have recommendations for outfits. Below in the What To Wear section, you’ll find our suggestions.

Finally, for those who are less familiar with L.A., we have some recommendations for areas to stay, based on the location of the venues. We also have a registry, for those inclined.

Did we mention that you should RSVP? Great! Looking forward to having a great time with you :)

What To Wear

We're celebrating over three days with a mix of Bengali and Western traditions. Wear what makes you comfortable, whether that's Desi attire, Western formal, or something in between.

Traditional color palettes vary by day (greens and vibrant tones for Mehendi, yellows and oranges for Holud), though guests should feel free to wear any color.

Here's what to expect each day:

Day 1: Mehendi — June 25

The henna ceremony, taking place at the bride's family home. There is no dress code so dress as you wish: formal, casual, Desi, Western, or anything in between.

Day 2: Holud — June 26

Our main Bengali celebration featuring the turmeric ceremony. Formal attire requested. This is the day we especially encourage guests to wear Desi clothing if they are interested in doing so!

Day 3: Reception – June 27

The reception. Formal attire requested, Desi or Western wear welcome.

Resources for Desi clothing

For guests unfamiliar with South Asian attire, we recommend [specific shops/websites]. Look for:

For women: Sarees, salwar kameez, lehengas, anarkalis, shararas
For men: Kurtas, punjabis (kurta-pajama sets), dhoti-kurta sets

Where to Stay

We’ve put together a few hotel groupings for you based on our wedding venue location – Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We recommend staying where you plan to spend the majority of your time.
